Thank you all so much for 4000 effin views! Now being a friend of JakeNova (with his 20,000 views or whatever :XD:) this might not seem so much, but to think I pulled that off in one year...with mostly Original Art! :cheer: (no offence to fanartists whatsoever) Because even you guys know that it's easier to pull those views through Naruto and Bleach fanart, but the way I see it, no one is going to hire someone who does only fanart, plus I do like the more conceptual side of art. :)

So thank you ALL so much for sticking with me even though I was pretty much rotting in the ground because of school. There's this book I should be illustrating (but as you can guess, I am procrastinating), but I promise, I am working on another original as we speak.

Anyway, off topic, I had a chance to go to my first anime convention last Easter weekend, which was more fun that I could have expected. In case you're all wondering, I did end up going as Nel, and it was extremly cold. However, the artist alley made up for it, because I never realized how many amazing artists there were in Arizona. I really pulled a lot of inspiration from them, and will be holding my own artist table at the next Anime Convention in October! Wish me luck, and thanks again! :glomp:

~Kishimoto's a murderer...~


WARNING! SPOILER AHEAD!

I'm sure that most of the manga-reading Naruto fans have been effected, either positively nor negatively towards Hinata's sudden death. Personally, I am outraged on how desperatly Kishimoto is trying to gain attention by killing off important characters one by one. I admit that Itachi's and Jiraya's deaths were really a bridge, but was the deaths of Kakashi and Hinata really that necessary? Yes it adds to story, but I honestly do not think it's worth it. Especially after Hinata's death. She finally admits her love to him and on the very next page of the manga, she's stabbed. T_T I don't know about you, but even if she was going to die, she should have at least died in a more meaningful way...

It's not that I'm mad or anything, I just wanna know what's going through Kishimoto's head because it's obviously not the better good for his manga.

~Hello out there~


cool isn't it? I told you guys it would be a good idea to send in those Christmas cards for the Holiday Project XP unfortunately, I've only got a month, so I think this is gonna be the best my journal's ever gonna be. Anyway, I'm glad we got the whole Art Club at my school to pitch in a draw a card or too, they turned out great! Hope more of you guys send some next year. I'm thinking a month's subscription should be enough...

So yeah, anyway, I'm still here...for those who have left me and left my page a dead zone...:tears: but I'm SO thankful for you guys that still visit once in a while...gives an artist a little bit of hope. :hug:

Anyway, my school's super strict and has got me on chains and that big heavy round thing chained to my ankle, so I haven't been able to get much done; not even much of the book I'm getting paid to illustrate :XD: but yeah, I'm trying to start my manga soon...thought of a great plot and whatnot...just need to get it off the ground. I'm also still trying complete my photoshop painting project...which is turning out amatuerish, but that's what practice is for neh? ^_^

So yeah, if anyone wants to send me an art trade or something so I have an excuse to draw, please do ^_^ And thanks so much again for the supporters who are still hanging on their last bit of patience. xP I swear, I'll try to get something in soon.

And no, I didn't just get laid, for all you sickos out there :XD:

I'm talking about getting into an AMAZING manga for the first time! You know; remember that time you first picked up your first Bleach or Naruto manga? I'm going through that same phase AGAIN (cuz i love it) with D.Gray-Man.

I got the first book on a whim, and already it ASTOUNDED me; so I just go the 2nd one. I'm telling you, the plotline could NOT have been written any better! The characters are just so well depicted and the plot was as original as original gets! *swoon* I love it when a I find a piece of genius...and the art is phenomenal! It's also got a good taste in humor.

So if you're stuck and just dying of waiting for the next Bleach episode, or the next Naruto manga, pick up D.Gray-Man sometime, I assure you, you'll love it!

Tis two days before new year...

and Sushie decides to wish you all a happy new year before she forgets. :D I can't believe a year already passed since I joined DA! I've love my time here and the friends I've made.

It is almost New Year's Eve so say goodbye to 2008 and embrace 2009! I hope you completed your new years resolution(s) and are ready to make new ones.

Personally, I am extremly proud of myself for completing my new year resolution; getting better at digital art.:w00t: I have a similar one to complete for 2009. My New Years Resolution is to learn to Photoshop paint like some of the best DeviantArt idols. I'll probably never get that good, but my goal is to get closer. Wish me luck and I'd love to hear any of your New Year Resolutions! ^_^
